Ugandaid

Chudleigh CE VC Primary School supports UgandAid, a Christian Organisation which works to enable young, vulnerable Ugandans to
break free from the cycle of poverty.

Our school has been supporting this project for the last few years by providing the necessary funds to enable a young
boy, Nelson, to gain technology skills via a vocational course at the Nile Vocational Institute (NVI). He is about to
graduate and will be able to get a job with his skills so that he can support his family financially. At Chudleigh Primary
School, we feel it is our privilege to be able to provide an invaluable opportunity for young children to help them with
their education and enable them to have hope for their future. It reminds us how privileged we are to have free
education.
Here is the link to their website so you can learn more about the organisation. www.ugandaid.com
In addition to the work we do with NVI, we have also partnered up with a Ugandan Primary School, St Moses. Some of
our pupils received letters from the children and enjoyed writing replies. Learning about different
cultures and the lives of others is an important part of cultural awareness and understanding.

We received this from the Ugandaid charity, with a letter from Nelson

"Dear Sponsor

I am delighted to send you a letter, which we recently received from your sponsored student at the Nile Vocational Institute.

As part of our fundraising initiative we have recently launched our Equipping for Life Christmas campaign to raise funds for the purchase of essential equipment for Ugandaid Students to complete their course fully and safely.

Further details can be found via the links below.
