Shaun the Sheep
We watched the Shaun the Sheep video clip ‘Camping Chaos’ and wrote part of the story including expanded noun phrases. At the end of our writing task, we enjoyed drawing Shaun.
Dragon Creation
We spent time discussing different types of dragons and what they might look like. We used the skills from following the instructions for a drawing a dragon and the ideas we discussed to create our own dragons which we described in Author Writer.
Dragon art
In Author Writer, we have been looking at the book ‘Tell me a Dragon’. We have loved the illustrations and descriptions. Before we created our own dragons, we followed instructions of how to draw a dragon. We really enjoyed this and were pleased with the final outcomes.
Portrait of Emma
As part of our enquiry ‘How can we find out about people in the past, we invited Emma, Mayor of Chudleigh into school so that she could answer some of our questions about how Chudleigh had changed over the years and how we know about these changes. We took a photograph of Emma and used this to draw a portrait of her.
