As part of our enquiry ‘How can we find out about people in the past?’, we have been for a walk around Chudleigh and looked at the different buildings.  We then had a visit from the Chudleigh Mayor and a Chudleigh councillor who focuses on the housing in Chudleigh. We asked them questions about their role and how Chudleigh has changed over the years.

We have spent time looking at portrait and thinking about what they tell us about the people.

For example:

What era are they from?

How old are they?

Who might they be?

What do they like doing?

We then had a go at drawing a portrait of the Mayor of Chudleigh and different buildings. Our final piece was to draw a portrait of the Mayor in the foreground and two different buildings in the background.

Author Writer

In Author Writer, we have been watching a short Shaun the Sheep video clip called ‘Camping Chaos’.

The focus of our writing was to include expanded noun phrases to describe what was happening when Shaun found the sausages.

After we had completed our writing, we had a go at drawing Shaun the Shaun.
